Dan’s Fishing Lures

Oil on Hand Stretched Canvas

20 x 50 inches

“One of my oil painting students, Dan Hourihan, brought in his collection of fishing lures for a still life. My own grandfather McGee loved fishing and looking at the lures brought back memories of his fishing stories. Dan and I constructed a still life in my Falmouth, Maine studio and began drawing and painting this little creatures. I am smitten by these small and colorful water bugs. I look forward to seeing Dan’s retro fishing lure collection next and being even more inspired!”
