Watercolor Summer. Following Toby Gordon, Miroslav Sasek

Watercolor Summer. Following Toby Gordon, Miroslav Sasek. Erin McGee Ferrell works on paper. Emulating 1960 Illustrator and Maine Artist friend.

“These past months I have been inspired by my fellow artist, Toby Gordon. She daily is posting new works on paper on instagram. I so love the freshness of each of her beautiful sketches I spent time this summer revisiting watercolors. At the same time a friend passed along a children’s book to me authored and illustrated by Miroslav Sasek. Below I’ve copy and pasted some Wikipedia info on the 1960’s artist. What started for my in New Orleans and has continued through the Cape Elizabeth’s Maine Paint For Preservation has been an enthusiastic re-exploration of ink, pen, and water.”
